Guest Pastor October and November 2011
Marilyn and I spent October-November of 2011 in the Guest Pastor program of Pastors2go. It was a very enjoyable, relaxing and refreshing two months. I was between interims, so this was a perfect fit. Pastor Dell and Diane were very helpful getting us oriented to Living Waters and to the area. I preached twice each month, assisted with worship the other Sundays, led a Sunday morning Bible Study, and observed/participated in two of the monthly outreach ministries hosted by Living Waters. The 15 hours per week at Living Waters was consistent with the program as described to me before we arrived. The condo was in excellent condition, with a view of the pool from the lanai. We discovered Venice Beach, which was only a 25-minute drive from the condo, We're beach people, so we spent an average of 4 days a week going to the beach for a few hours each of those days. I also found 2 area golf courses with very reasonable green fees. I would heartily encourage pastors to consider this opportunity.
