Guest Pastor July - October 2012
Carl Hansen and his wife, Betty, were part of the Living Waters Community from mid-July to mid-October, 2012, during the time Pastor Dell was on his three-month Sabbatical. The primary expectation was leading Sunday worship and teaching the adult Bible Class, which allowed for an eight-week discussion of the Book of Revelation. Leading the monthly healing services and sharing communion to some of those who were not able to attend Sunday worship was also part of this three month ministry. Being part of the Bread and Pastry and Community meal on Thursdays, as well as occassional times of sitting in on the care-giver ministry on Fridays and the contemporary worship service and fellowship on the first Saturday of each month, were other enjoyable parts of our stay.
The beautiful Beerbower House provided us a wonderful home-away-from-home, and the flexible schedule gave us time to visit a number of parts of Florida we had never been to before, including a few days in the Florida Keys. We even experienced tropical depression Isaac, which thankfully bypassed, for the most part, this part of Florida.
