Pastor Dell Shiell grew up in Minnesota where he and his wife. Diane, met and began their life together.  Pastor Shiell graduated from the University of Minnesota (B.A.).  He also earned advanced degrees (MDiv. and DMin.) from Luther Seminary, St. Paul, Minnesota.

Dell and Diane are the parents of three children and grandparents of five children.

Pastor Dell formerly served parishes in Porter, Minnesota, Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and Nokomis, Florida.

The Shiell family lived in Larvik, Norway for a year, during a home and ministry exchange with a Norwegian pastor and his family.

Dell and Diane have served as stewardship consultants in a variety of professional settings.  Dell earned his Certified Financial Planner designation in 1997.

Kris Dines - Administrative Assistant

Kris joined the Living Waters staff in September 2007.  She handles all the administrative responsibilities required for running the office, coordinates church activities, posts information on the web site, maintains the church records, and assists Pastor Dell with special projects.  Her expertise and “can do” attitude enable her to accomplish just about anything that comes her way.

Originally from New Jersey, Kris’s family moved to Florida while she was in high school.  She went back north to attend West Virginia Northern Community College and graduated with an AA degree in Computer Information Processing.  Kris remained in the area for many years and worked in the offices of several businesses.  She and her husband, Gary, moved to Florida in 2004 and started their own landscaping business.

In addition to being the Administrative Assistant for the church, Kris also works as a Teacher’s Assistant for the Living Waters Preschool.

Away from work, Kris volunteers for various projects including the Community Dinners held at the church.  She also enjoys spending time with her family and visiting her grandchild in Ohio.

Judy Johnson - Minister of Worship & Music

Judy has been the organist and pianist at Living Waters since 2002 and was named Minister of Worship and Music in 2009.  Always active in worship planning, she now works closely with Pastor Dell in creating meaningful and engaging worship and leads the Sunday Servants teams.  She continues to play the music for the services and directs the choir.

Judy is a native of Northwest Iowa and graduated from Calvin College in Grand Rapids, Michigan, with a BA in English and German.  She taught English in the Grand Rapids area for six years and then moved into the business world.  She held management positions in Corporate Communications, Marketing and Advertising in Michigan and Indiana before relocating to Florida in 1999.  Although she retired from working full-time in 2009, Judy does free-lance business and promotional writing and enjoys doing voice-over work.

When she’s not practicing music or writing, Judy enjoys reading, travel, and playing with her cat, Oliver, who sometimes joins her at the piano.
